Fun at Itsy Bitsy Baby Spa

How excited was I when I discovered Itsy Bitsy Baby Spa? Extremely! It’s funny how things work out. I’d been having lower back aches for some time and hadn’t had the time to do anything about it.

I did my research on Itsy Bitsy Baby Spa by visiting their website and checking their Instagram and saw what a great facility they have that recently opened and specializes in moms + baby hydrotherapy, massage and play.

Heston and I couldn’t wait to use their facility! I filled out the form they provide for the RMT for both Heston and I, as all their services are claimable through insurance benefits under massage therapy (and if your children are on your plan, you can claim the sessions for them as well). I believe it is one of the only facilities of this kind that do that.

The space itself is very bright and as soon as you enter, you get a whiff of their soothing massage oils + creams. We were greeted by Samira, who owns Itsy Bitsy Baby Spa, and she gave us a tour of the facility. Immediately, we were given sandals and robes. John held Heston as Samira explained the different areas.

The play area consists of a Kid’s Fun, Reading Zone where kids can interact with other children and play with a great variety of toys and activity centres. There’s also an area where kids can paint on their own easels. Complimentary wifi, snacks, tea and flavoured water are also included.

While Heston played with daddy and the other children, I went in for my massage. I was looking forward to it. I met Fedora, my masseuse, who was incredibly friendly. We joked about babies and she worrkkkked my back. Wow, so worth it!

Reminder…their services are claimable through insurance benefits under massage therapy. If your little ones are on your plan, you can claim the sessions as well! #winning

Then Heston had his turn. He was so good, he loved it. He had his choice of non-scented or scented oils; he went with the Lavender. After a few giggles, Heston tried the small tubs. These tubs are meant for infants 2-6 months, we just put him in one so everyone here can get a sense of it. The flotation therapy looked very peaceful.

We then hopped into the larger tub together and definitely had the most fun in there. Heston switched his inflatable floatie and we lounged around, splashing and playing with toys. The great thing about the location of the larger tub is that if mothers want privacy, there are large curtains that can separate the area from the rest of the facility. Samira also mentioned that private events, birthdays, or even groups of moms can book the place in advance.

Once out of the hot tub we dried off, had a few snacks, and played some more in the play area. We were welcomed to stay as long as we liked. On our way out, we picked up a jumbo bath bomb (Heston picked) and a scented oil. There were so many beautiful items to purchase – from soaps, creams, lotion, oils, to baby accessories.

We had such a great experience. Thank you so much Itsy Bitsy Baby Spa for a wonderful day spent. We would highly recommend them to all moms who want a relaxing day that gets the babies out and interacting with other babies and mommas. They go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and will make sure moms privacy is met. You can let your hijab’s out ladies

I know Heston and I will be returning!
